Terms of Use
Last updated:
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED (“RA2 LAB”, “we”, “us”) for the mobile app Tunebow: Text to Song AI (the “App”) and this website (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Tunebow
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use the Service. The Service is not intended for anyone younger. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your account
The App creates an anonymous account for you automatically; you do not need to give us a name or email address. You are responsible for activity on your device and account. You may not sell, transfer or share your account or your subscription with others.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- What a subscription includes. Making songs requires an active Tunebow subscription. A subscription includes a weekly song allowance; the App shows how many songs you have made this week and when your allowance refreshes. Unused songs do not carry over to the next week. A song counts toward your allowance when it is ready; a song you stop before it is ready does not count.
- Payment. Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. The price and billing period are shown in the store before you buy. We never receive your card details.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings or Google Play subscriptions; Settings > Manage Subscription in the App takes you there. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Because purchases are processed by Apple or Google, we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, and any refund request must be made to the store you bought from, under its policies: Apple or Google Play.
- Price changes. If a subscription price changes, the store notifies you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the App or change devices, use Restore in the App to recover an active subscription bought with the same store account.
4. What you put in
To make a song you give the App text and choices such as who the song is for, names, memories, messages, ideas, lyrics, a genre, a voice and a description of the sound (“Inputs”). You are responsible for your Inputs and you confirm that you have the right to use them. In particular, you must not submit:
- lyrics or other material that you did not write and do not have permission to use, such as the lyrics of existing songs;
- the name of a real singer, artist or other person in order to imitate their voice, singing style or identity;
- private information about another person (such as a phone number, address or identification number), or details you know they would not want shared;
- anything that is unlawful or that breaks the rules in sections 7 and 8.
You give us permission to use your Inputs to provide the Service, which includes sending them to the AI providers that write lyrics and generate audio on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may refuse or stop a request that appears to break these Terms.
5. AI-generated songs
- How songs are made. Lyrics, music and vocals (“Songs”) are generated by artificial intelligence from your Inputs. Results can be unexpected or imperfect, may not match what you asked for, and may resemble content generated for other people. We do not guarantee that a Song is unique.
- Original voices only. Tunebow sings with original AI voices, and its cover voice styles are original voices that do not represent any real person. You must not use the Service to imitate a real artist, or present a Song as performed, written or endorsed by a real person who had nothing to do with it.
- How you may use your Songs. Subject to these Terms, you may keep, download, play and share the Songs you make for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example giving a Song to the person it was made for or posting it on your personal social media. Commercial use, such as selling or licensing a Song, distributing it to streaming services for payment or using it in advertising, is not permitted unless we agree in writing.
- AI labelling. Songs may contain information identifying them as AI-generated. Do not remove it, and do not present a Song as made without AI where that would mislead people.
- Covers. The cover feature works only on Songs you made in the App. You may not use it on audio from any other source.
6. Sharing songs to Explore
Explore shows featured songs and, if you choose, songs shared by people who use Tunebow. Sharing is optional and off unless you turn on Share in Explore when you create a song or choose Share to Explore for a song in your Library; before your first share the App asks you to agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. A shared Song, including its audio, title, lyrics and cover art, becomes visible to everyone who uses the App. Shared Songs are reviewed before they appear and may be reviewed again at any time, and we decide what appears in Explore. We are not obliged to show any Song.
Licence you give us
When you share a Song to Explore, you grant RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, convert into other formats, display, perform, stream and make the Song available to other users within the App and our related services, and to feature it in the App, for as long as it is shared. Our service providers may exercise this licence only as needed to operate the Service. The licence ends when you stop sharing the Song (with Remove from Explore, or by deleting it from your Library), except for copies kept for a limited time in backups, copies we must keep to comply with the law, and copies we keep to deal with a report or dispute.
Other users may listen to shared Songs in the App for their personal, non-commercial enjoyment only.
7. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. By using the Service you agree not to create, share or promote objectionable content, and not to abuse other people who use Tunebow.
Objectionable content includes, but is not limited to, content that:
- promotes hatred of, or discrimination against, people based on a protected characteristic;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, demeans or targets a real person;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
- threatens or glorifies violence, terrorism or self-harm;
- promotes illegal activity, or is unlawful where you live;
- exposes anyone’s private information, or is defamatory;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights, including copied lyrics and imitations of real artists;
- impersonates a person or organisation, or is spam, a scam or deliberately misleading.
An abusive user is anyone who shares objectionable content, harasses others, misuses reporting, or tries to get around moderation, a removal or a block.
Reporting, blocking and how we act
- Every song in Explore can be reported from the App, and you can block the person who shared it, which hides their songs from you straight away. You can also report content to us at support@ra2lab.io. The Community Guidelines explain how.
- We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. When content breaks these Terms, we remove it and eject the user who provided it.
- We may remove any content, restrict or disable sharing, and suspend or terminate any account, at any time and without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms or puts others at risk. We may report illegal content to the authorities.
8. Using the Service fairly
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the App, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- get around the subscription, the weekly song allowance, content filters or any other limit or security measure;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to access the Service, or collect content from it at scale;
- use the Service or its output to develop or train a competing product or AI model;
- resell or sublicense access to the Service;
- interfere with or overload the Service, or use it in a way that breaks any law.
9. Our rights
The App, this website, the Tunebow name and logo, the voice styles, artwork and underlying technology belong to RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, and no other rights. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe a song in Explore infringes your copyright or other rights, email support@ra2lab.io with: a description of the work and of your rights in it; the title of the song and where it appears; your name and contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Apple, Google, our subscription provider and AI providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the Service they provide. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
12. Ending these Terms
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App; remember to cancel any subscription separately (section 3). We may suspend or end your access, or stop offering all or part of the Service, if you break these Terms, if we have to for legal reasons, or to protect other users or the Service. When your access ends, your licence to use the App ends too. Sections 4 to 7 (as they apply to content already shared) and 9 to 18 continue to apply.
13. Disclaimers
The Service and all Songs are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet your expectations. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your Tunebow subscription in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to compensate RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED for claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your Inputs, the Songs you share, or your breach of these Terms.
16. App Store and Google Play terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you and we also agree that:
- these Terms are between you and RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED only, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content;
- your licence to use the App is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions;
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App;
- if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the App to you; to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that the App or your use of it infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights;
- you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the App; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
These Terms apply in addition to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where they conflict, these Terms apply to the extent Apple’s terms allow. If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We change the “Last updated” date above when we do and, for material changes, tell you in the App before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where RA2 LAB COMPANY LIMITED is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and do not take away any mandatory protection given to you by the law of the country where you live. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor. These Terms, together with the Community Guidelines and our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
