Community Guidelines
Last updated:
Explore is where you discover songs made with Tunebow: songs we feature, and songs people choose to share. These guidelines keep it a place for celebrations, love songs and good ideas. They are part of our Terms of Use, which have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
How sharing works
- Sharing is your choice. A song goes to Explore only if you turn on Share in Explore when you create it, or choose Share to Explore from its ••• menu in your Library. It is off unless you turn it on, and the first time you share you agree to these guidelines.
- Every shared song is reviewed before it appears in Explore, and can be reviewed again at any time.
- Shared songs are public. Everyone who uses the app can hear a shared song and see its title, lyrics and cover art. Explore does not show your name next to a song, but the lyrics can contain names and details you wrote, so leave out anything you would not want strangers to read.
- To stop sharing a song, open its ••• menu in your Library and tap Remove from Explore. Deleting a shared song from your Library removes it from Explore too.
What is welcome
- Songs you made in Tunebow: birthday songs, love songs, thank-you songs, songs for friends and family.
- Lyrics you wrote yourself or have the right to use.
- Humour that is kind, not cruel.
- First names and personal touches that the people in the song are happy to have shared.
What gets removed
We remove songs that include any of the following, and we act against the account that shared them.
- Hate and harassment. Songs that attack, demean or threaten people for who they are, or that bully, mock or target a real person.
- Sexual content. Sexually explicit lyrics or artwork. Anything that sexualises minors is removed and reported to the authorities.
- Violence and self-harm. Threats, glorifying violence or terrorism, and anything that encourages suicide, self-harm or dangerous acts.
- Illegal activity. Songs that promote or help with something illegal, such as selling drugs or weapons, or fraud.
- Private information. Phone numbers, addresses, identification numbers or other personal details about anyone, or songs meant to expose or shame someone.
- Real artists and copyright. Claiming or suggesting a song is sung or written by a real artist, lyrics copied from existing songs, or anyone else's copyrighted material.
- Impersonation, spam and scams. Pretending to be someone else, misleading claims, repetitive or promotional content, and links or schemes that try to trick people.
- Anything else that breaks the law or our Terms of Use.
Report a song or block a creator
Report a song
Tap the ••• button next to the song (in Explore, on the Create and Cover tabs, or in Now Playing), choose Report Song, then the reason that fits best. The song disappears for you straight away, and the creator does not find out who reported it.
Block a creator
From the same menu, tap Block Creator. Songs from that creator disappear from your Explore straight away. To undo it, go to Settings > Blocked Creators and tap Unblock.
Report by email

What happens after a report
- We review every report and act on it within 24 hours.
- If a song breaks these guidelines, we remove it and eject the user who shared it: they lose the ability to share, or their account is closed.
- Serious violations can lead to immediate account termination. Illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
- Copyright holders can also send a notice as described in section 10 of the Terms of Use.
